Rehearsal for Glamorous Beijing Concert    

This afternoon I went to the rehearsal for the Glamorous Beijing concert, which is another event related to the Olympics. In fact, the work I’ve been doing in Beijing recently is all related to the Olympic Games.

   

Afterwards, I went to the recording studio again and recorded the song for the Olympic Games closing ceremony.

Children See the Light of the Olympics    

I’m not sure if you still remember that I once attended an event called Children See the Light of the Olympics and I financially sponsored visually impaired and impoverished young children so they could receive medical treatment for their eyes. At that time, I made a promise to 40 children suffering from poor vision that after they underwent treatment and had recovered, I would take them to watch the Olympic Games together. Today I fulfilled my promise. I was accompanied by The Disciple winners and we first took the children to visit the China Story exhibition, where we explored the various huts and admired the Chinese culture. After that, we went to watch some Olympic events.

Throughout the day, I tried to teach the children not to waste when they drink water and told them that if they can’t finish a whole bottle of water, they shouldn’t drink straight out of the bottle; instead they should share it with the other children.    

Afterwards, I attended the Hard to Say Goodbye press conference along with Emil Chou, Andy Lau, Liu Huan, and the music production team of Hard to Say Goodbye. We announced at the conference that the four of us will perform this song together at the closing ceremony, and we talked about our reluctance to part with the Beijing Olympic Games that were coming to an end.

The production of this song took less than a week from when it was created to the completion of the music video. The Hard to Say Goodbye MV recaptures every unforgettable moment that was created by Chinese athletes who competed in the Olympic events over the past sixteen days. This song will mark the conclusion of the Games and also symbolize Beijing Olympics bidding farewell to the world.

In the evening, I took a group of a few dozen children who had recovered from their eye treatment to eat roast duck. I think this was the first time they had ever eaten roast duck.

One of the little girls gave me her pair of glasses to try on. These were temporary glasses that needed to be worn after having an operation to correct poor vision. Oh my God! After I put on these glasses, I had no sense of spatial distances and I absolutely couldn’t determine where the little girl was. I felt very lucky to have healthy eyes and vision, and being able to help these children makes me feel even more fortunate and happy!

魅力北京大型演唱会：

            今天下午为魅力北京大型演唱会彩排，这都是与奥运有关的活动。总之，最近在北京的工作都是与北京奥运有关的。

            然后，又走进录音室为奥运闭幕歌曲录音。

 

童看奥运：

            不知道大家还记得吗？我曾经出席‘童看奥运’的活动，资助贫困弱视儿童治理眼疾，并答应了四十位弱视的小朋友，如果他们治愈后，会带他们共同观看奥运会。今天我就兑现了我的承诺，我与‘龙的传人’得奖者领着这些小朋友先到‘中国故事’参观不同的屋子和欣赏中国文化，然后一起看奥运。

            期间，我还教育小朋友喝水的时候，不要浪费，喝不完就不要一整瓶喝，可以跟其它的小朋友一起分享。

            后来，我联同周华健、刘德华和刘欢，以及‘难说再见’的制作班底出席‘难说再见’的发布会，宣布我们四人将连手在闭幕式上演绎此曲，诉说北京奥运即将落幕的依依惜别。

            这首歌从创作到MV的完成，只花了不到一周的时间。‘难说再见’MV将重现16天来中国健儿在奥运赛场上的每一个难忘瞬间，这首歌也将成为北京奥运跟世界话别的标志性符号。

            晚上，我带领数十名治愈眼疾的儿童吃烤鸭，我相信这是他们一生人第一次吃烤鸭。

            有一个小孩子给我戴上她的眼镜，做了眼睛手术的弱视儿童都要暂时配戴这些眼镜。天呀！我戴上了这些眼镜以后，没有了距离感，完全捉摸不到小女孩。我感受到眼睛健全的幸福，能够帮到这些小孩子，我感到更加幸福和开心！
